Who is responsible

What is collected

• The domain you check. Stored so I can see demand and follow up. All the DNS data returned is already public.
• A hashed form of your IP address. Used only for rate limiting. The raw address is not stored.
• Your name and email, if you send them, so I can reply.
• Payment records. Reference, amount, currency and the email on the receipt. Card details never touch this site: Paystack handles them and I never see the number.
• Anonymous usage counts through privacy-respecting analytics. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.

Why, and on what basis

Domain checks and contact details are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in operating and following up on an enquiry you started. Payment records are processed to perform a contract and to meet accounting obligations. You can object to the legitimate interest processing at any time and I will delete the record.

How long it is kept

• Cached check results: 6 hours, then overwritten.
• Domain check log: 24 months.
• Correspondence: while we are in contact, then 24 months.
• Payment and invoice records: 6 years, because tax law requires it.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or ask for a copy. Email osato@osatoumweni.com and I will respond within 30 days. There is no charge and I will not make it difficult.

• GDPR (UK and EU): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You may also complain to your national supervisory authority.
• CCPA and CPRA (California): you may request disclosure or deletion, and you have the right to opt out of sale or sharing. Nothing here is ever sold or shared, so there is nothing to opt out of.
• NDPR (Nigeria): the same access, correction and deletion rights, exercised at the same address, with recourse to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Who else sees it

Paystack, for payment processing. The hosting provider, which stores the site and its logs. A public DNS resolver, which sees the domain being looked up. Nobody else. Your data is not sold, rented or given to advertisers, and there is no advertising on this site.

Data is processed in Nigeria and may be processed by the providers above outside your country. Where that involves a transfer out of the UK or EU, it relies on the providers' standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies and uses no browser storage. The payment window is provided by Paystack and sets what it needs to process a transaction.
